Family Outing

Yesterday my dad brought my whole family for an outing. Firstly, he brought me and my mom to a malay stall downstairs for breakfast, as my sisters were in basketball training. Then when my sisters came home, we changed. I wore OP shirt and jeans as usual. We went to Ngee Ann City's Kinokuniya, while my mother shopped at other shops(probably shoes, bags and clothes). I browsed through computer books and a Javascript book atracted me. I sat down there and started reading it. I thought it was very useful, and it thought a lot on logical expresions that needs you to verify your user and pass:

Note I will not put < > in certain parts so as to disallow any errors in viewing

script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript"

var userID
var password
userID = prompt('Enter user ID'), ' ')
password = prompt('Enter password', ' ')
if (userID == 'ScubaBob' && password == 'diving')
{
alert ('Valid Login')
}
else if (userID == 'ScubaBob')
{
alert('Invalid password')
}
else
{
alert('Invalid User ID')
}

As you can see, this string of javascript will produce a pop-up asking you to type in your userId and password, in this case, Scubabob and diving. And you can see, the 'if...else...if..else' is used here. Statement in the first part compares if what you typed as password and userID matches Scubabob or diving. If the pass is wrong, Invalid password will be shown. Likewise, if the userID is wrong, Invalid User will be shown.

This is one of the basic scripts in the book. There are many more. But if using this method to block access from others to your web, I fear that people might just switch off Javascript and access your source code to find out the password and user. The only way to counter this is to make your source code locate another source code, which is the real one, and use it, so people would only see the link to the real source instead of the whole chunk of code. I read that it would need to be uploaded on your web server, which I do not have so I cannot do. And your real code must be saved in a .js file before uploading to be linked. So I think I can forget about doing it.

After this, we went to pay at the counter and my sister(Joy) bought 4 joke books and my dad bought a Coffee book. I bought the Javascript book(Javascript Demystified). Because Kinokuniya was having a sale: Located in newspapers are Kinokuniya coupons and each can allow 2 books to get a 20% discount. And we had 3 coupons so 6 books just right. Mine was 30 bucks at first but after discount it cost $24 only. Not bad. My mother came into Kinokuniya with a newly bought red leather handbag. She said it costed $180+. O-M-G. With $180 I can easily buy a top 2.1 speaker!! Sigh, women, never spend money wisely..

After Kinokuniya, we went to eat downstairs. My dad wanted to try a stall called Central Chinese restaurant. It is located beside a Ramen restaurant. I tell you, never ever go that restaurant! The food are damnit expensive. I bought a plate of fried rice(XO sauce seafood fried rice) and it costed $7.50. Worst still, the standard is the same as my house's hawker centre! My sisters ate fried spaghetti, mom ate noodles and my dad also ate fried rice. The receipt printed $39.15

At this time it is about 4+. We started arguing about which place to go next. My dad suggested East Coast park, but my mother wanted to shop around longer. In the end, we still went to East Coast Park lol, because my sisters and I did not want to shop.

Reaching East Coast Park, we went to the beach and walked around. My dad and mom sat down and chatted to each other while my sister(Joy) read her joke book and my the other sister(Joline) went to the beach and started writing her name with a stick. I got interested and joined her and wrote my name with a Copyright sign, followed by a SOS HELP sign. Soon we grew tired and started making footprints on the sand. There were also some chickens running around on grassy patches and I chased them here and there. I even wanted to cover them with a basin I found, but they would run away when I approached. Then my sisters began walking near the edge of the shore. You know, when the tide splashes out and back, they stood and walked on the wet spot. I went there and made a sort of shield of sand to protect my feet from getting wet. Initially it absorbed some waves, but suddenly, a extra large wave came and hit all of use near our ankles. my jeans were wet and my shoes were soaked. Damn! For dinner, we ate at Long beach seafood restarant, next to threee other seafood restaurants. One of them was called NO SIGNBOARD Restaurant. What kind of restaurant was called that. And the people inside were all wearing black. Maybe they thought it would attract younger crowds. But no, the old boards(lao zhao pai) which is Longbeach, had much better business. The NO Signboard practically was empty.

My mother ordered a 5-dish dinner, consisted of a fish, pot of vegetable, steamed prawns, fried tofu and fried squid. I ate 1 2/3 bowls of rice and drank 8 cups of tea plus a can of Scheweppes tonic water which contains Quinine, whatever that is.

After our delicious meal, we went home. My dad asked if we wanted to go anywhere else(8pm at that time), and my mother suggested Parkway, but my sister(Joy) refused, so we went home and watched Wu chu cai hong.

Didn't get to dismantle my Win98, so i am going to do it today.. Wahahaha.

Weekend

Okay! I am finally blogging. Sorry people again, I have been tied up. Joshua lent me his Need for Speed Most wanted CDs for me to burn. Because failing few times at the start, I spent quite a lot of time. Note of caution: For those who are IT-knowledge-challenged(like Yihua), I suggest that you skip the below two paragraphs as it might blow your neurons off.

Firstly, I am going to explain to you how the game works. there are a total of 4 CDs in the box. 1st CD, you insert and install. After that the installation will prompt you for 2nd, 3rd and so on. The installation will run till 100% and ask for CD 1 again. Then it would play the CD to run the game. Without this CD 1, the game would not play, showing you an alert: Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application.

So I begun working on burning CD 1. At first, I dragged all the files from the CD to burn an ISO image of the CD, which I normally do for burning CDs. After copying and burning, I mounted the image onto a virtual drive and tried to play the game. It shocked me by showing the error message. EDIT: In the end I suceeded in burning. *I have deleted the part showing the burning process as Junneng kindly told me that it would equip people with knowledge of burning NFS MW. So if anyone wants to burn one, please go and search on the web. And if Junneng himself wants to refer to my page to burn NFS MW, well he can only blame his big mouth for telling me to delete. ha.

Then yesterday I was dragged to my mother friend's house. It was at Hougang! We(me and my sisters) took the MRT from Gombak to Hougang and it was like more han 1 hr. Siao. but I listened my iPod Nano the whole way, so it was at least tolerable. It was a condo, and she lived at the top storey(17) with a penthouse balcony(the house had two storeys). But the best thing is taht I was able to eat like siao there. She orderd 4 pizzas and cooked a dish called 'Baked Rice' I think. It was fried rice with crust ontop, similar to that of a lasagna's. And the fried rice even had mushrooms and a campbell Mushroom soup taste in it. It was so damn nice. And their house have a big plasma TV! I guessed it was 25 inch. Plus Starhub cable tv! Wah siao lo! But i pity their sound system. Two little Bose speakers accompanied by a DVD player. That is pathetic. But its not too bad. And their desktop is a HP Pavilion with 3.2 ghZ processor and 512mb RAM, 256mb VRAM video card!!!! Wargh, if I got that, I could play NFS MW at the highest graphics setting! My VRAM is a pathetic pathetic 64mb. Sigh. The view was nice, and we saw parachuters jumping off a plane and floating down to earth from there. I think they were in a training of some sort. The landscape was also not bad, many trees and all that. Much better than The Madeira's. We watched Cartoon Network for some time. Later on, we went down because some people wanted to swim(not only i came. My mom's other friend also came). The swimming pool was so much better than mine! Kids Pool was like so big already, with some things you can seat on and shoot people with water. The adult pool is olympic sized. Wow! The people(me and my sisters) who did not swim went and bought some snacks and drinks from a Minimart. So damn nice la! We went back up and watched Kungfu Soccer. Then we packed up and went home. My mom's friend gave us a lift to Bishan Junction 8. The car is a blue Picnic. Okay la. Even though not powerful, but useful for driving loads of passengers. The Bishan MRT sucks. It was underground and there isn't any aircon! So it was very stuffy. We took the train back to Gombak and my mom went off at Woodlands to go Causeway Point. It was about 8.30 at that time. We reached home at 8.50. We watched Wu Chu Cai Hong while eating dinner. My mom came home at about 10.30. I chatted with my ex-classmates(Trina and Huijun) to about 11.45 and I slept at 12 after reading a chapter of Protecting your Digital Privacy(10. The Least You Should Do to Guard your Privacy when Online). I find that 650 paged book wasted too much paper. I flipped through most of the stuff without reading because eitehr I already knew that, or it was about law. And what is the use of reading about Law of Privacy when you want to find out how to protect it. That is so damn stupid. Only chapter 10 and 18(Can you really be Anonymous?) are interesting. And that is like about 50 pages out of the whole book. After mulling over its message, I still did not know how to encrypt my disc to prevent hackers from ruining my privacy as the book did not state how. Wow very informative.

Anyway, that is about all my life on Wednesday and Friday. Not bad for morning's work.

The EOY Holidays

Sorry that I have not been posting again. Once again, the "holidays" have arrived. The teachers (a certain one whom I do not care to mention his/her name)took advantage of the fact that they will be teaching us again in the coming year, by giving us loads of homework. I accept the fact that we are already in secondary school, and we are suposed to have more homework. Okay, so holidays got homework. But December holidays? Supposedly, we are to enjoy the end of the year, the celebration of Christmas and the coming of the new year. And they spoil everything by giving us this kind of ****. It is like, Oh Yeah, EOY hols! Christmas! Presents! Then suddenly the whole load of work pile up. We are NOT even supposed to get homework for this holiday. If it is June or whatever, it is understandable. Wang Jun has kindly defined the term Holiday in his (very) previous posts.

And to top is all off, today I wasted the WHOLE beautiful Saturday by going to school for open house today. And word is that we are to stay there from 8am to 5pm. What kind of crap is this. And what do we do? Appointed to stand in the sun and wave to cars coming in to Nanhua, driving P Sixes in. Wa lao! In full Boys brigade uniform, under the ten o clock sun, go stand at the slope of the driveway. See how you feel like for 10 mins. Chiho, Joshua, Keith, others and iIhad to stand for 1 plus hour. Cool huh. Meaningful activity? And then I really did not want to stand anymore, so we(Chiho and I were standing together) went to the table where Daniel was on ''duty". he was sitting there and chatting with other Boys Brigade boys while we were dying. We went and sat next to him. Soon, we were trying to recite out advertisements(eg: Jessica Alba! Isn't she your favourite star? or Put the lime in the coke you nut. or Wang wang pao pao guo dong zhen de hui shen qi!) Well, you get the idea. Then we began slacking around. Some sec 2s tell us to go back on duty, but we also did not care much. They were also slacking around. At around 12.30 we ate lunch(provided by the Japanese Stall, free, for everyone hosting Open house). I also got all my badges except Community and Drill badge. These two things are the only memorable events today.

After lunch, further slacking. Joshua and I started walking around and around the school. At 3.45, we falled in and were given instructions to clear the hall and bring the tables and chairs back to canteen. Wa lao! Not even we use, we need to go clear up. No CIP too. Sigh. I really regretted coming. Wei Jie talked a lot of crap as usual and kana pump by Mr Edmund Ng. Then he stayed in pumping position and he was instructed to tell us a story. He told us about 3 little Pigs.(Forgot the names the pigs were given. but it was very funny) The first pig got some cash, so bought a straw HDB to live in. The second pig got credit card, so went and bought a stick condo to live in. The third one got a cheque, so he went and bought a brick bungalow to live in. Then there came a wolf called Sasha(I have no idea why a wolf was given a puppy's name). He wanted the straw HDB, so the first pig was very scared and ran to the second pigs stick condo. Sasha then thought the straw HDB was too weak, so he wanted the stick condo for himself. So the first and second pig ran to the third pig's brick bungalow. The wolf later wanted the brick bungalow because the stick house got termites. But the brick bungalow was too strong, so he climbed up the roof and went down the chimney. Just right, the third pig put a toilet bowl under the chimney and just did his business. So he flushed and just then, Sasha fell into the toilet bowl and got flushed away and drowned.

We kept laughing uncontrollably. Mr Ng then wanted him to add some romance into the story, so Weijie said the wolf's daughter went to the brick bungalow and begged the third pig to give him a proper burial. If he did so, she would marry him. And they married and lived happily ever after. Then some guy asked how they made love. Mr Ng told him to come out and down 20. he did 20 in a very short time. I guess he normally also crapped alot so got used to punishment.

Anyway, we went home at 4.30. I and a guy(forgot name)walked together to MRT. We had nothing much to say to each other. I liked comp, he like soccer. But we still discussed about holiday, results, likes, dislikes whatever.

Altogether, it was a lousy day. I think spending the whole day playing computer would be even better. And I have not said my reason for not posting for so long. I had been editing the Windows theme. Now my desktop looks like a Mac OS X. I even downloaded a Mac Dock. But I am done with it now. And my speaker plug spoiled. It became bent. I think I pulled too forcefully last time. Now I sometimes hear static at songs more to the rock side. Especially the cymbals. So my combo is broken. I used one Harmon Kardon speaker and combined it with a sub from ''e'' speaker and the bass woofer. Sian. Really bad holiday. Xiaotian is now at China. Also cannot contact him. Oh and he want the beach photo from whoever have it, pls send to him.

Photoshop CS2

I have been messing around with Photoshop for 2 days, and this is my progress so far. I just got the font site from Jemimah, and just imputed the .ttr font files into the Windows Fonts folder, so I have not used them in my designs yet. These are my 7 designs, from the latest created to the earliest. Click on the images to enlarge. Give comments and tag. Cheers.

Outing here and there

Hey sorry for not posting for so long. I was busy installing Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 on my HP Pavilion and going class outing, so I was too preoccupied. Yesterday, I went to East Coast Park for the class outing. Majority of the people going agreed to meet at Jurong East at 8.10, so I do not need to get up too early. I went off at 7.55 and reached there just on time. Kenny, Kaiwei, Wang jun and Xiaotian were waiting for me. Jie min and some people were late, so the girls wanted to wait an extra train for them. Since we have a schedule, the boys, except Kaiwei and Kenny, did not wait and immediately boarded the train.

When we all reached Bedok, we found out that Xiaotian actually did not know how ot go to East Coast Park, and he caused us to take taxis. But luckily he helped me pay. We all agreed to meet at Mcdonalds. After waiting for some to finish their breakfast, we all went and did whatever we want there. I argued with Xiaotian about roller-blading and cycling. I wanted him to cycle with me because rollerblading cannot keep up with bikes and I wanted to chat with him during cycling, so it would be better. But he did not listen and wanted to rollerblade. He said that cycling on flat ground is not challenging at all, and thought that he could blade as fast as me cycling. In the end I cycled while he bladed. So stupid. I rented a silver 16-gear $5 bike for 1 hour, and as they were having a promotion, I got one hour free, so in total, I had two hours of owning the bike. What I said came true: He did not blade as fast as me. To make cycling more interesting, I rode around freehand(did not keep any hands on the handlebars), but in the end my butt damn pain because the seat was very hard. The bike was extremely lousy and there were many problems. The gears were very rough and would 'jerk' whenever I shifted gear of stepped too hard for acceleration. The hind brakes were not working, but that is okay. The front gear is much more important than the backgear. If the front gear was not working, then by braking with the backgear, the bike would skid 180 degrees. Although it would look cool, but it would be less efficient at stopping.

We rode around the Park, stopping freqently as Xiaotian could not catch up with me and would get tired very easily. He is quite good at roller-blading. I did not know how to stop. And that stupid Limin extra la, don't even know how to roller-blade still purposely want to blade. In the end, she had to hold onto other girls to blade. So sickening, depriving others of having fun there.

Another issue I want to bring up is the usage of the Class-fund. By right, we are supposed to use the class fund to pay for this outing. It turned out that Mr Chow forbidded it because not the WHOLE class went, so our rental fees could not be subsidised, forget about covering them using the class fund. It is quite unfair. We paid 9 months of class fund for what? Doing class activites. If some people could not be present, well, that is just too bad for them. Whereas we, the majority of the class, is present, so at least somethings should be subsidised. Absent people cannot come it is their problem. If I were to be absent, it would be my problem too. Anyway, it is just thanks to that stupid Limin that we cannot go class chalet. SO extra. We did not even discuss the idea with her, or agree and she went to book a chalet by herself. Wth. Just because her birthday and she wanted to celebrate in the chalet? I mean, how selfish can she get? It is like the chalet is the class' and we all tried hard to pay for it and she just went on without anyone's knowing and booked a chalet at her preferred date. Wa lao. Then now we all cannot go and she happy lah. Crap. Now I come back to the outing. Mr Chow said that only if everyone in the class is present, then we can use class fund. The fund is reserved for future activities. Oh so since it is that way, we already have a fund reserved, then next year's class fund we do not need to pay right? Until the RESERVED fund is used up on FUTURE activites, only then we start paying right? So now do anyone think it is fair? I propose that eveyone do not contribute class fund, since it cannot be used and makes everyone unhappy. There is no need to celebrate birthdays. ANyway, until now the care rep have not celebrated Kaiwei and my birthdays, both which falls on 9 August. They only remember 3 girls'birthdays in August, but ours are forgotten. That means the class fund which I contributed to the whole year has not benifitted me at all. Then I should not pay class fund. At least there should be a choice of giving.

Then is started raining so we stayed under a shelter. Few minutes later the rained stopped(weird). Xiaotian and I went to the shelter that Junneng, Kaiwei, Kenny were. They were playing soccer earlier. We sat down beside Junneng. The others were playing soccer(I think). I then spotted two girls on the beach stripping off their clothes and into their bikinis, so I shouted to Xiaotian, "Hey look your favourites". Xiaotian was very attracted to them and we all began teasing him. Junneng even took some photos. Soon, I do not know who, suggested to play beach soccer to look at the two girls. I declined and offered to look after their belongings, lest get stolen. See I so well-behaved. Kaiwei and Wang jun stayed with me but went off later to buy drinks. Later on the girls came and we explained to them all about those girls and Xiaotian liking them, so they went down to the beach and asked them to take photos with them for a class photo. Amazingly, one of them agreed. I was laughing like hell, teasing Xiaotian. He really looked damn shy about them.

Then after East Coast the boys damn sian so we all went to West Mall. Joshua, Xiaotian and I went to arcade and played Sega Rally. My skills have improved, beating Xiaotian in two maps and losing to him in two maps. We utterly trashed Joshua. Haha. We then went to Koufu and ate lunch. Junneng and I ate XiaoWanMian while Kaiwei horfun, Wangjun wanton mee, Kenny forgot, Joshua chicken rice and Xiaotian deer meat rice. Soon after, we parted, and Xiaotian and I went to Jurong Point to window shop(again).

We looked around and compared some 2.1 and 5.1 speakers. When we were in Courts, Xiaotian said that he have a dream of puting a big plasma screen in his room that can serve as his computer screen. This guy is crazy. The cheapest brand(Aiko, never heard of) of good resolution costs around 2k plus. In the end we went home after browsing through other shops.

There is a new Need for Speed in town. Most Wanted.

To the Movies

My father came back for dinner and presented me three movie tickets his company gave to me! But these are not just any other ordinary movie tickets. They are tickets which allow access for you at anytime, any Eng Wah Cinema, any movie, so long as it is within tomorrow, when the ticket expires. I am planning to watch Legend of Zorro 2005, but quite a little dissatisfied with the Board Of Censors.

You must admit that clasifying Doom and Tom Yum Goong under NC16 is a tad too unreasonable, no? They are barring people below the age of 16 from these two movies! What the #$%@?! Okay, I agree Doom is a little too frightening, but not violent(shooting big bad monsters, with big bad machine guns. The Marines vs evil aliens?)? And especially Tom Yum Goong. It is obviously like the previously screened Kungfu Hustle. The plot is just about this guy and some bad guys stole his two elephants, so it ended up for him hunting them down. What is so violent about that? And after watching the trailer, it is in my opinion, cool(his kung fu), instead of violent. That means Shanghai Knights is violent, Jackie Chan is violent omigosh-im-so-scared! I-will-be-influenced-by-these-violent-scenes! Ahh! They really should make something like NB13 or something(not-below 13). Seriously. By the way Tom yum Goong is in Thai, so much of a pity.

So unfair lah, can't get to watch all the nice movies. Since Tom Yum Goong and Doom is unviewable, then Zorro is the next best candidate. And 3rd is not good enough for me. Now I am to watch with my sisters together, while (my parents) go shopping. Sigh, and my sisters want to watch Just Like Heaven. Hmm advertisement is not bad, but I would think of it as a better choice if I watch the DVD than go to a cinema. Movies like Harry Potter, Flightplan, Transporter 2, Armageddon, The Day After Tomorrow, those are the real stuff, not for mushy love stories. Better to be on disc to watch in your free time. And don't you talk to me about Sky high okay. It is stupid. PG, would you believe it? A kids show? Talk about sensitivity. Sheesh.

But the good news is that Xiaotian might be coming with me to watch Tom Yum Goong, ditching my sisters to themselves. Hope my parents agree.

Internet Connection Status:

I am now placing my wireless receiver on my outer window ledge. This is to steal my "neighbours"wireless connections and bandwidth, since many failed attempts at connecting with my father's Linksys wireless. SO I can receive other neighbours tens of metres away, while my dad's only 5 metres away. What shit is linksys doing man. The SSID of the connection Im using now is called Belkin. I suppose it is a good brand. And before you say it, what im doing is NOT immoral! I am just helping my neighbours to use up their unlimited bandwidth and connection. Haha. Anyway blame them for not encrypting their WEP connections. Ok bye it is quite late liao. I will call my parents to ask about the Xiaotian plan.

Ngee Ann City

Yesterday I woke up at 8am. I finally had a dream. It was very weird. I was in a wooden elevator and suddenly the door opened. A large number of people kept coming in. Even until the elevator was full, people still kept coming in and the elevator alerted us that it was overloaded. But apparently nobody cared and kept squeezing in. I was pushed into one corner and squashed. Then the lift rope broke and the elevator went down the shaft, and I woke up. I washed up and then ate breakfast before calling Xiaotian to wake him. He always sleeps so late and wakes up so late. We discussed about the time to meet at Jurong East to go to Orchard, as we were going to Ngee Ann City to fix his Fujitsu T4010. One of the service centres was located there and it was the nearest. The second nearest was Henderson Road.

When I reached Jurong East at 10.20am, I was shocked at Xiaotian's taste of clothes. I wore an OP Tee and long jeans(typical la) while he wore a shirt which seemed too small and tight for him, and a formal black pants with belt. He said that this is to expose his sexy body shape. I said that he looked more like someone going for a wedding or a computer repair man(he was carrying an IBM laptop carrying case) with no money to buy new shirts that fitted him.

We planned to take the green line there and change train, but when we reached Clementi, we decided to take the red line as we thought it would be nearer. And we rode back to Jurong East and changed to red line again. It took us about 1 hr to reach Orchard. After walking around in Wisma Atria, we could not find any access to Ngee Ann City, so we went back underground to the MRT and took elevator up to the main road and from there we walked to Ngee Ann City, which was just right beside Wisma Atria.

Taking the lift to the 5th level, we walked around for 10 minutes to find the Fujitsu repair shop(#05-06), but to no avail. By the way, you should take the lifts instead of the escalators. They are extremely high-class, not unlike hotel lifts. When we became tired of walking around in circles, we checked the level plan of the 5th Storey and saw the Fujitsu Shop right beside Best Denki.

The shop was very spacious and futuristic. Lined alongside the walls were laptops on display, and our T4010 was also there. Xiaotian took a ticket with the number 008 and we sat down on the couches there in front of the 'stalls' where the person attending to you would sit and you sit opposite. Soon after, it was Xiaotian's turn, as there was only one customer apart from us. He took out his PC and warranty form and gave to the person attending to us. She was quite young, around her mid to late twenties and she had quite heavy makeup and dyed her hair brown, with a thin highlight strip in blue. She looked not bad and Xiaotian thought she was very pretty and had a sweet voice. I agreed with him that her voice was pleasant. The problem with Xiaotian's comp was that when it started up and showed the Fujitsu logo, it would hang and started beeping continuously. And on rare occasions it would startup to the login area, but the keyboard would auto-type the password so rapidly that he could not backspace or login. The girl said that the computer would need at least one day to be ready. I think that worse come to worse, a new harddisc would be needed, so it would probably cost around $150+ or so, including GST, and all those crap.

After Xiaotian gave her his contact number and left the computer with her, we went to Best Denki and looked around. He wanted to see the Video Camcorders on sale because he wanted to buy one. Crazy guy, already in debt of about $1500 with his parents for buying the computer and 5.1 speakers, now still want to buy 1k plus video cam. We also browsed around the desktops, and saw the water-cooled computer again. Very cool. Xiaotian asked the person at the video cam desk some information about cams and he recommended two JVC Hard-disc video cams, currently the only harddisc video cams on the market. It is good as there isn't a need to buy storage media such as Cds, DVDs or Cassette tapes to store the video recorded. The bad points of DVD is that after using the 4GB of space, it would take 5 mins to finalize the disc, so you cannot record continuously, like for example, in a lecture. In the JVC video cam's case it would be stored in a 20GB or 30GB harddisc, depending on your budget. The two cams even come with built-in LED lights for darker conditions. Xiaotian thanked the guy and said he would wait for more manufacturers to make Harddisc Video cams so the prices will drop, as there will be more competition. The price for the video cams are about $1600 and $1800 respectively, where normal DVD video cams are priced around $1200. On the way out, we spotted some Fujitsu desktops. The design is horrible and extremely old-fashioned. All plastic and cheap-looking. People who buy Fujitsu desktops are idiots. I suggest Fujitsu to concetrate on fully manufacturing laptops. They are just wasting their money. They suck in desktops, while their laptops are in the top 3 brands in the world.

We then went to Seoul Garden to eat lunch. $10+ for both of us students plus Ginseng Chicken soup and GST amounts to about $28.95. Wondering why such a miser like me decided to spend so much on lunch? Xiaotian was sponsoring me so I only paid $5 for the meal. Haha. When we were going to take some meat to eat, a man told Xiaotian to go and take a new spoon for him. Orignal words: "Hey Waiter, get me a spoon." Hahahahaha! All because of his clothes. Stupid sia. Come to think of it, he really looked like a waiter. After eating till half-full solely on meat, we started making soup. We put in meat, vegetables, mushroom, yong tao fu etc. and it turned out not bad, but not as nice as last time's. It was a pity as we were too full to finish the soup.

Then it was time to go Jurong Point for arcade. Xiaotian did not want to take MRT, as he thinks that buses have more powerful air-con systems. He claimed that he knew the bus-stop for taking 174 to Jurong Point but in the end we walked one whole round and ended up at the same place we started. But we took the other bus-stop with 174 which goes to OutramPark and took MRT. What is the difference of taking MRT from the start. Stupid. And we wasted 45 min from walking around and waiting for bus.

When we reached Jurong Point, we went to the arcade and played Daytona. Xiaotian played a 18-wheeler game first, as there were no vacant seats. After gaming over for thrice, we played Daytona, and I won him for the first time. Haha. Although his skill deproved after playing the 18-wheeler, I think my gearing skills have improved.

We then went to Courts and look around because very sian and soon after, we went home, as it was becoming late. We chatted for a while and the MRT before parting.

This post is so damn long. First time lol. The reason I blogged today is that I played GunZ yesterday to level up. Today when I become 15 I will buy Walcom Warrior 77 for $2800. K bye I am going to return books for library. 4 days overdue, and it is raining soon. But I might play GunZ first. Bye

Update

Two miracles happened today. Xiaotian with my persuasion decided to update his blog. After updating, he edited his template codes. He added links and a tag-board. And he became so obsessed that he went to Blogskins.com to search for a skin. He made a very good choice: a Porche skin. You readers should go visit(www.lasercombo.blogspot.com). Lol i am helping him advertise.

Junneng also approched me to help him make a Warcraft 3 skin, but I wanted him to pay me $10, so he went to find Wang jun. Wa lao, such a miser. He know very well im in a debt of $54.90 with Xiaotian because I lost his Battlefield 2 CD and he can't be more generous.

Two people who have never blogged for half a year, have went back to blogging! So two miracles(diao -.-'' i know).
Sigh, GunZ level 13.5, and I bought a Zaurus A x2 pistol. Not bad la, but I can't help wanting a Breaker. Kind of regretting.

Now starting to update Friends list.

Your Post Title Here

Hm what did I do today so far. Woke up at 8, ate at nine. Oh ya, and I also did my homework. You must be wondering why I suddenly became so guai-1. Aiya I am just acting la, because I want to show my parents that I am well-behaved, am a matured young person already, so that they do not need to worry after me etc etc etc. But thats not the real reason haha. The real reason ah, is to let me go out to Ngee Ann City tomorrow with XT. He said that his Fujitsu comps at home all system crashed liao. He claims that there is a Fujitsu Service Centre there. If he is mistaken I will bash him up. Ngee Ann City is not a short distance away from my house you know. Like from Bukit Gombak Station all the way to Orchard. But never mind, he is sponsoring me lunch in Burger King :)

Just played GunZ. I leveled up again to 13, and bought my Military Sword and Walcom s5 x2 submachine gun. Played clan war(i belong to the x-slayer-x) with my classmates and I trashed Kaiwei and Kian Ann. I only killed Wang Jun once. Later on I 1v1 Kaiwei in Town and I trashed him again. I also won him with sword when he switched. His excuse is that he was using a touch-pad. That means that he is using his laptop and lost his mouse. Unlikely story, but nevermind, I got plenty of Exp points from him.

He quitted and I Zhen yu invited me to play with him. Wa siao me a lvl 13 play with him? Lvl20 is no joke. His rocket launcher did not help to calm me down either. We started playing swords and i won him 5 times he won me 10 times. Totally trashed. Then I switched to guns and used my new Walcom and trashed him. Haha. He called me a pro man. I feel so honoured. I trashed him so many times that he went out and refused to play with me. Lol.

After he quitted I also did not feel like playing anymore, so I alt+f4 and went to the kitchen and told my mom that I have finished a Math worksheet. Not only did she not praise me but scolded me instead! She said that I am in secondary school already, should know how to think for myself, and told me off. She said my chinese is poor and should spend more time on it instead of calling and playing com whole day. Wa kao! I spent so much time(20min) on math worksheet and so little time on comp(1hr) she still scolded me! It is so unfair. Do you know that if I decide to do homework is considered a very lucky thing for them? It is a extremely rare occurence.

Ok bye I go eat spaghetti liao

GunZ-ing

Sunday school boring today. We were discussing about Wu Hua Guo Shu(tree that bears no fruit or flowers), and it represents Israel. The teacher said that when Israel makes a comeback(it was defeated by 4 surrounding countries, check the map), then the second coming of Jesus is near. I don't know anything at all, but thought that it would be better for Wu Hua Guo Shu to represent us people. If we accept Jesus as our Saviour and become Christians, then we should repent and do things in the name of the Lord and not stay the same way as before(eg. stealing etc), so that we 'bear fruit'. Aiya very weird la, but anyway enough talk on Christianity.

After Church, some church friends came to my house for bible study, so their kids also came. We ate lunch at hawker centre near my house. Solomon(11 yr old kid, XT knows him very well) played GunZ on my HP Pavilion 723d. Problem is when I try to use my laptop to vs GunZ with him, we would lag, but when we play on separate matches with other people, then nothing would happen. XT said that the GunZ server recognise our IP address, and since they are same(both PCs use the same wireless connection), then we would lag. I thought it made sense. So I forced him to play my account; my eyes would get tired if play too long. So we took turns playing MY account. Haha. He demonstrated to me butterflying, and I showed him my superior gun skills. By the way, he is level 9, and only yesterday I was 2 levels lower than him, but higher than him 1 level today. We fooled around in some gladiator matches and after a very long time, I gained a level to 11. I bought Winter Gloves for extra Armour Points. So far my avatar and weapons are
: Leather Coat, ?? Pants, Climbing Boots, Winter Gloves, Renard SMG, Renard X2 SMG, Rusty Sword, Grenade(3 clips). AP 67 HP 100 WT 97/100.

Since became lvl 11, life became considerably much easier. I am the lowest among the Veteran Channels(11-20), so I wil always kill people hgiher than me, therefore gaining high exp points. I will normally get an 420 or 500+. Cool man. After 30min, my 0% EXP became 54% EXP in Mansion. I also played in a scary map, which XT later told me was Ruins. I have never played it before. It is only meant for people lvl 11 and above, so I have never used it. There, I killed about 3 and died 5 times, while Mansion I killed about 15. I was planning to continue to level up, but wireless kana disconnected, so I got discouraged. Now I am waiting to get lvl 13, to buy Walcom S5, a SMG. It is better than my Renard(duh).

Ok bye I going to sleep my mother is scolding me.

GunZ-ing

This has been a week. I have not enjoyed myself like this in ages. On Wednesday, I went to a restaurant in Copthorne Hotel to eat with my relatives. My uncle treated us as it was his birthday and so-and-so organization he subscribed for gave him a $100 voucher. Cool huh. It was a 6-course dinner, complete with desserts. Sad, that they dont sell fried icecream there. When we were going home on the car, my mother suddenly suggested to go to IMM to shop. We all agreed after few minutes of argument of watching TV. Our arrival was around 9 then. IMM closes at 10, so we had an hour. I went to Best Denki(as per normal) to look at the PCs and Laptops there. There was this cool looking PC with silver casing and grooves and was water-cooled. Wow. But the price was not wow at all; it cost $4000+. Crazy ah. I can make a top range PC with $1500. With $4000, I can make 2. But it is Windows XP MediaCentre edition lah. so can't blame them.

On thursday, I went to my parent's friend's house for popiah. Uncle Ding-fu(that is my father's friend) ordered 2 pizzas from Canadian Pizza and got 2 free. SO shiok. There were also two big packs of Ruffles Chips. By the way, their family surname is Tay. After I ate my fill, I played NFS Underground 2 on PS2 with my friend, Zhe-min(that is Ding-fu's son), the older brother of Zhe-wei. I was not used to racing with a controller, so I banged quite a few times. I normally lost to him by around 1 or 2 seconds. We moved on to playing Dragon-ball Z with Wesley(small kid of 10, I think. He is another of my parent's friend's son who came) I trashed him with Goku and Vegeta, but the Tay bros trashed me. We played the PS2 until dinner, when we ate the remaining pizza. We then went home.

I started playing GunZ again. 3 days of hardwork turns me into lvl 10 today. Wahaha. But now duno what avatar to buy with 2k bounty. Pls help

Holiday-sick

So this is the second day of the hols. To date, many people in 110 have fell sick. Such are Junneng(fever), Xiaotian(fever), Jun(Headache), Jemimah, Yanling(flu). And I shared soup with Junneng, and did not get fever from him. Waha I so power. Holiday is cool when I blast my woofers to the max. Hope everyone go to oneten forum and post then more things to do.

Update

Jeraldine is sick too. Hope she gets well soon, she has cough flu and fever. o_O

Nano-ing Again

Today is the first day of the EOY holiday, and I have also owned my Nano for a week. That means I have not blogged for a week! I am generally satisfied with Apple's Nano, as it plays punk rock songs very well and is extremely portable. It is even sold the same price as a 4GB Mini. The colour LCD display screen definitely makes it a higher class than all the previous iPods. (I really cannot think how people managed with black and white screens.)

But the catch is that it scratches VERY easily. It sustained a few scratches after a day's usage, so I hope Apple can manufacture future iPods with a toughened coating, though the backing made of chrome is considerably durable.

There are also some things in the area of functionality which I am not pleased with. Sure, it comes with a stopwatch complete with lap splitting, a screen lock and international clock, but I think Apple should really bundle in a 5-band custom EQ(Equalizer) option and FM tuner at the very least. Sound recording is not a must-have, but it is good to have it in iPods.

The audio support with files should be improved on too, not being compatible only with AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, but also with WMA files. This will do away with the need to convert the file format from WindowsMediaAudio to M4A in iTunes. Lastly, iPod should be able to transfer files through 1394 port(aka FireWire) to enable transfer rate to be increased, while currently UniversalSerialBus(USB) 1.1 or 2.0 is supported. 1.1 is the older version(duh) which is even slower.

This is why iPods are best-sellers, but not the best mp3 players on the market. I forsee even greater sales of iPods if the above are bundled in iPods. Maybe Apple could release a Service Pack(SP) for us iPod users to buy and download to upgrade the software in iPods. And they could also release a trial version of the SP1 for iPods, and then I could crack it. Haha.

And I got back my report book. 62.1 Average, 19th in class and 259th out of 360 in level. Sorry because this post must be very dull for electronic idiots out there. With that, I conclude this short post and now I must go downstairs to ta pow lunch for my family. Bye

Nano-ing

English : 63 (second highest in class)
Chinese : 56
Maths : 64
General Science : 63
Geography : 76 (top in class)
History : 54
Literature : 53
Art : 53
Home Econs. : 51 (not including practical)

These are my EOY results. Not exactly your dream marks right? The average of these is a lousy 59.2222....(recurring decimal). I expected myself to get at least 60, and I had to go and get a 59.2. What shit.

Anyway, my parents grudgingly agreed to let me use MY own money to buy a iPod Nano. Isn't this weird, first getting permission to use my own savings? You might say that the money is theirs, as they gave me as pocket money. But it is I who managed my income and expenditure so as to allow the possibility of having enough money to buy a Nano.

But that is not my point. I am supposed to blog about my Nano, and got carried away as usual. Today I woke up early to get ready for going out to Xiaotian's house. I wore a White tee and long jeans there to see if there was any stock of Nano 2GB there, as they were selling at a cheap price of $328 while Apple's official pricing is $348. We have visited there one month earlier but to no avail. I expected them to have stock today, but it turned out to be a great disappointment.

We then went to Simlim Square again to look for a $340 Nano which we saw during the last visit. In the end we found out that almost the entire stock of all the stalls there were wiped out! There were only the more-ex ones left. Sigh. And we walked up and down twice to look for a cheap Nano. So in the end, we had to settle for a $348 Nano. Next Xiaotian lent me his money to buy a $15 silicon case for my Nano, which cover is very fragile and scratch very easily. But not to worry, it is extremely durable. (It was tested by some crazy dudes and its controls can work even though a Volkswagon ran over it twice. URL : http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/nano.ars/3)

Then we rode back to Jurong Point and met up with Joshua to watch Transporter 2. It was a relatively short movie with simple plot and lots of action(extreme violence). And if you like cars burning rubber, you will like this movie, as Xiaotian and I did.

After the movie, Xiaotian bought Battefield 2 with his POSB card(its balance is almost zero now, going to be frozen). Personally I think he want to keep slashing it in cardreaders till it melts. Oh and his 4 other cards have been frozen.

We went home. Joshua and I took the MRT while Xiaotian took bus 199.

And now I am blasting music from my Newly bought Nano into my ears. Sigh..the wonder of technology...

The Nicest Day I Had in So Many Months

Today, I started off the day by waking up at 8.20am. It broke my 2nd best record of waking up late. The best was 8.50am. My mother scolded me again. She said that I was supposed to finish practising my piano and doing a chinese comprehension before going out with my friends, because I was to meet Xiaotian at Jurong East at 9.10, so I did not have time to do all these except to eat breakfast. After eating breakfast, I took a shower and decided to wear long jeans and a black OP tee. I also brought extra short pants and white OP tee along in case I would eve need them.

Went to Jurong East and met him at 9.30am. We proceeded to Simlim Square. After about 45mins of chatting, we alighted at Bugis. I cannot reveal the content of our conversation as it is private to Xiaotian. We strolled to Simlim Square and had an argument whether to build the desktop at his house or in the shop we plan to buy the PC components at. He wanted to build there and then as he was afraid that we would meet some problems with the hardware, and I wanted to do at his house as there was more space. I fumed for several minutes, but in the end agreed. And anyway it is he who is buying the PC not me.

Walked around Simlim. A majority of the shops have not opened. The shops which are open are still not doing business, as they were cleaning up for the day. We went up and down the levels, looking at advertisements. Eventually, we walked into a stall which has opened up for business. It belonged to a friendly looking Malay(or Indian) storekeeper. Xiaotian asked if he sold PC components, and he said yes, and asked what did he want. Xiaotian replied with the following:

Motherboard, supportable up to 3.2 gHz
Processor, Intel 3.2 gHz, support hyper-threading technology
DDR RAM, 1 GB(two separate 512mb RAM chips)
Above average Graphics Card
Good Powersupply Box(for those who doesn't know, powersupply box converts electricity from the plug to a form of electricity the computer can use)
40 GB Hard disc
Casing

Altogether it all added up to about 1k. Very cheap. If you buy one in the market, a PC manufacturer for example Fujitsu would sell about 3k for the same quality. Xiaotian then began to bargain with the shopkeeper when he was paying for the items. As he wanted an 17 inch Philips LCD screen and Altec Lansing speaker system, he bargained the $600 items for $500, and throwing in a Norton Antivirus and Keyboard and $149 Ego speaker system. The shop keeper obviously declined, so Xiaotian said he did not want the keyboard and Ego speaker system and Norton Antivirus, and the man agreed,

The graphics card is also quite good. Nvidia Geforce something. Forgot the model. I think it was 7800FX or something. Xiaotian chose a futuristic white casing. It also has 3 cooling vents, two with fans. The motherboard was also not bad. It has 8 USB ports. Cool man. The man asked us if we wanted the shop people to help us fix the whole com up, but we declined the free service. Show off a little mah. Action mah. But anyway, he gave us all the separate components and the casing. We proceeded to unscrew the casing and open it up. Then we screwed in the powersupply box. The motherboard was taken out. It was very nice. The older models were much bigger and the heatsink also had a unique design. We unpacked the processor and took out the CPU fan and chip. The chip is a small nifty thing(smaller than a country-eraser) with has many pins on the underside. This is the thing that makes your computer a computer. After locking it onto the motherboard, we secured the CPU fan over it. Without this fan, the processor chip would overheat and destroy itself. Then we took out the graphics card. Very cool. And the fan has a eagle sticker on it. Quite cute la. I ripped open the plastic covering of the hard disc with a screwdriver and passed it to Xiaotian, who secured it into the motherboard. The two RAM chips were the last. Very ordinary. We handled too many RAM chips in the past, so not fun anymore. After all these, we screwed the motherboard into the casing. We were careful to elevate it from the metal of the casing, or when the electricity runs overs it, it would conduct and blow the whole com and you up(no la just kidding. It would burn and become useless semi-conductors. Burns are not insured with the warranty)

I booted up the computer and went into the BIOS setup utility, and went to prioritise the boot up. We decided to go back to XT house to install the OS(Windows XP Home Edition).

We packed up everything and sorted out the rubbish. Then Xiaotian secretely put in the Ego speaker system and keyboard into the big cardboard box of the PC casing, when I was putting in the components empty boxes in. So smart ah this guy. We happily went down with a store helper who packed all of our things onto a trolley and boarded a taxi.

Reaching Xiaotian's house, I installed the OS and I demanded him to give me his old Harman Kardon speakers, as he stole the Ego system. He agreed, but I needed to give him $15. I changed my clothes as I was sweating like hell in the long jeans and we went out to Jurong Point to eat. We met Yanling there and I almost did not recognise her in her hairstyle. We went to Seoul Garden and I paid only $5 out of the $28. Haha, so after paying him $15 tomorrow I still benifitted as I got speakers and a good meal. We ate like siao. I took all the meat available(i think 10 diff meat) and two pizzas, two plates of beehoon and yellow noodles and fishballs, crabmeat, taupok, vegetables and fries. Xiaotian made the soup very nice. He added in alot of meat and vegetables and tomatoes and mushrooms etc. and let it boil. It turned out from ginseng chicken soup into duno what, but it was very nice.

After eating so much, we went to the arcade and played Daytona for two rounds. I lost duh. It was my second time playing it. As Xiaotian's card did not have much money left, we decided to say our goodbyes and go home.

Ah what a fun day...

The REAL After-exams

Arrhghhhhhh!!!!! Exams are over! Hooray! Let's pop some champagne! Home econs and art is shit.

After the 1hr paper of Home econs(which was very easy) Xiaotian and I went to Clementi MRT(No he did not go on a date with Haoting.) Chiho treated us taxi and bubble tea. Nice. But I discovered that I should never drink bubble again in the morning. It made my teeth and mouth numb. Anyway, we sat the MRT to Dhoby Gaut. We chatted to Dhoby Gaut and did not feel like getting off so we sat till Serangoon and then alighted and rode back to Dhoby Gaut. Xiaotian told me about the process of internal combustion in the engine of a Car. But even he does not know the exact whole process. Like when the fuel is pumped into the combustion chamber, he did not know where does the oxygen come from to have the chemical reaction when fuel combusts with oxygen and explodes. But we assumed that the oxygen comes from the surroundings and goes into the car through the grille-like thing between the headlights.

Anyway we went to the Starhub Store. Xiaotian needed to buy a new sim-card. He fiddled with the Sim-lock function of his HP and in the end it locked. And he was so stupid not to guess the default combination of 1234. He only thought of 1111 2222 3333 and so on. Stupid la. Now need to spend $30. Haha. When we went in after the store opened for business, the service was very good. The lady at the reception greeted Xiaotian with warm smiles and said "Very good dear!" when he said he got the authorisation letter to activate a new sim-card. I laughed when she called him that, and she also turned and smiled at me(I was standing beside the queue beside XT, as I had no business to do with Starhub). Later on I settled into one of the several flat-cushioned chairs in Starhub and watched Mr Bean on the TV, while XT settled his Sim-card affair. When I started watching Mr Bean, I saw him exchanging his pants and underwear with another guy in a locked cubicle. After he got his pants and underwear, Mr Bean threw the guy's pants and underwear over the locked door of the cubicle. The guy managed to catch the pants, but the underwear dunked into the toilet bowl. Cool. Oh and Mr Bean's Mini got crushed by a tank at a fair.

After 10min, XT was ready and he was impressed by their service. We went down and rode the MRT again to Jurong Point. Went to PK Computer like what we did yesterday. The guy was not very pleased when XT asked about PC stuff again, as we go in and do not buy anything. So later on XT bought Windows XP Home for $155 and went we went home.

On the MRT, I met Ee Hui, my ex-classmate. Pity we only exchanged greetings. I only said hey ee hui! and did not say anything else. I could not think of anything to say. He was talking with a bunch of friends about Gunbound.

Upon reaching home, my mother scolded me as she thought I ate outside. So she had to prepare lunch for me. I was puzzled at her getting angry at this small thing. She said like, Wa you think im your maid ah, anytime go home must fix food for you blablabla etc. Sigh. She seem to get cranky over small matters recently. She also said that I could not buy iPod Nano unless I got good results, EVEN THOUGH IM USING MY OWN SAVINGS. What Shit is this. My hard-saved money cannot be used freely ah. Shit la.

Later I still have to practice piano. Crap. And I thought I was supposed to be happy after exams.

Ah who cares. Just settle for blog-surfing now..

UPDATE:

Going to sim-lim with XT tomorrow to buy PC components and casing. Together we will make a high-end desktop PC which is Intel 3.2 GHz Processor, Integrated 3D graphics, 1GB DDR RAM, 420v Powersupply box. Cool.

After Exams

Ahh the exams are ALMOST over. Still got Art and Home Econs left. So shitty. How can Nanhua count them as subjects. Do you know that St Joseph's count art as Extra curricular subs. Sigh..the unfairness of all.

Anyway, after the Math paper I went to Jurong Point to eat with XT. The Math was damn hard la. I really hope I'll pass. We went to eat at the foodcourt there as all the shops have not opened yet, including Pizza Hut and others. I ate the Xiao Wan Mian(mini-wok noodles) and Xiaotian ate the stupid laksa and a big Ice Kachang. I scolded him for eating such plain food, but he disagreed and said it was very nice. But when he tasted my soup, he changed his mind and wanted to throw away his laksa and buy a bowl of Xiao Wan Mian. Wa that guy is so crap. I stopped him of course.

After the meal, as we walked around the just-opening-for-business Shopping Centre, Xiaotian came up with a suggestion to go Simlim Square. So since it was still 12.30 I agreed and we sat the MRT there. We browsed around for the shop selling the cheapest Ipod Nanos, bargaining on the basis that we were buying two. Thebest discount we got was from the original $348 to $330, at an Indian Shop. Not bad la. Xiaotian was still not satisfied. He wanted to get one at $300. Told you that he is crap. Then Xiaotian bought a 30gb PC harddrive for $89.

He then wanted me to go back to his house with him, so I had to call my mother to ask for permission. She was not pleased and scolded me for not studying and going out instead. But in the end she agreed la. But he told me that his mother was in chatting with a neighbour. I was very scared that she would chase me out, but she turned out to be a very warm individual. Xiaotian showed me his homemade PC and began ripping the plastic cover off the harddrive he bought. Then he plugged in several wires from the Powerbox to the harddrive. He bought it because his old harddrive was not able to function. The old computer was given to him by his parent's friends and many components were not working, so he took some components out and mixed with newer components of his own. Pity that the Nvidia graphic card could not function. It is quite a good brand. So after he plugged in the harddrive he turned on the power and a Compaq logo appeared on the screen. Then he inserted the Fujitsu reformat disc into the DVD combo drive and began installing Windows XP Tablet PC edition. But of course it failed, as i expected because it is a normal PC and should not be able to use Tablet PC software. Furthermore the components were old and might not be able to meet with the requirements of the OS.

He wanted to go to a computer mart in NTU and wanted me to change clothes. He gave me a crappy shirt and long track pants. He said that the staff there do not entertain secondary students, as they would not buy anything from there. And we looked like undergrads when we wore long pants. Well thats what he said. We went down and boarded the bus going on the A route. Then we sat for one whole round and ended up back at his house. He is so crap. He did not know the bus routes around NTU. And he lived there. We got down and walked to a map of the A, B, C routes. He told me that the routes were newly implemented on 1st of October so he was not familiar. Then we took the C route and walked for a short distance and went into the computer mart. The electronics they were selling there were all like $20 off from prices outside, including ipod nano. They were selling at $329! Wow. But too bad they had no stock.

Then we looked around and then went to the canteen to buy a soursop drink of 30cents. We took route C back and in the end it did not go to Xiaotian's house. Wa lao I was damn angry with him. But in the end we took another bus and reached his house. I ate some instant noodles and pistachios. Oh he also gave me some old speakers, as he had bought a new Harman Kardon Speaker System. Crap la he so rich. So I went home, as his dad was coming home soon and took 199 to Jurong Point and sat the MRT back to Bukit Gombak.

I met my mom at the lift lobby. Talk about suay. If I were 1 min earlier, she would not have known. As I promised her that I would reach home at 5, but i eached home at 6 instead. She had gone to Causeway Point to buy some stuff. Upon reaching home, I stacked all the Sec 1 textbooks into a cupboard and made space for my "new" speakers. It included one bass and two subwoofers. I plugged them in and played my iTunes. Wa really not bad quality. Strong bass and music which do not have static when the max volume was turned on. Very good. The only bad thing is that the fabric covering the subwoofers have mould growing on them. Aiya, but nevermind one la. Can play is good enough.

Ah the bliss of the exams being ALMOST over. Doing art tomorrow and Sunday. Shit la.

"Hackers Beware"

I borrowed a book from the library yesterday titled "Hackers Beware". I have been searching for these kind of books for months and finally found. This book talks about how hackers hack into peoples PCs and accounts, through several methods and loopholes of Windows. Apparently there is a file in your PC that contains your acc username and password. The aim of hackers is to try and dig out this file and decompile it into rich text format. They can do so through a number of programs, the best seemingly L0phtcrack. I have downloaded the latest trial version from the internet and cracked it(heheh) so now it is permanently mine. I am now using it to crack my computers password. This software uses several methods to crack.

Firstly, it guesses your password through a 'dictionary attack'. This means that it tries to login by entering a password numerous times off a database of words, terms and phrases. Secondly, it uses a 'hybrid attack'. This means that it guesses your password with both letters and numbers. If these two fail to get the password, it uses its ace in the hole, the 'brute force attack'. This method is guaranteed to get your password, as it tries every combination of letters and numbers, for example, aa, ab, ac and so on. The disadvantage of this method is that it is very time-consuming. The duration taken to crack your password depends on your length of your password and your CPU processor speed.

I recommend that your passwords to contain upper and lower case letters, combined with numbers and special characters(!,@,#,$ and so on), like mine. The reasoning behind this is that this kind of passwords will be foolproof against dictionary and hybrid attacks. But no password is uncrackable. It is only a matter of time. This is why I strongly advice you to use long passwords, preferably about 12-15 characters. This is because if your passwords is for instance ababababababa, compared to abababa, it will take considarably much longer time, even though both passwords are weak. Strong passwords like mine will need a brute force attack and looking at L0phtcrack's meter, it needs 20hrs to be cracked.

Having said so much, I still prefer one way of hacking: sending a trojan with a keylogger hidden inside through email and it will self-install upon opening of the message and will log in every keystroke, websites history and take screenshots during intervals. The best of all, it would not take up too much RAM so the user would not experience lagginess and would not suspect anything. Even if the user suspects something, he/she will usually just scan with a virus scanner, not harming the keylogger. It is the best and the easiest way to gain access to email accounts, game passwords and know which websites the victim surfs, and what programs he/she uses. Although I have not done so before and do not dare to, I think this is the best way of hacking.

I hope that this post is beneficial to your computer security. This shows that password strength is very important to your computer's security and I give my best wishes in preventing these kinds of malicious activities.

Mindless Banters

I am now very satisfied with my current skin. Although it is only a minor facelift from the previous one, and there were quite little improvements, I am proud to say that it is my best achievement so far. The only problem now is that the traffic on my blog is almost nil. 1.4 tags per day to be specific. And my sister Joy scored 6 per day. That shows that I am very unpopular and am a loser. Agree? But what am I complaining for, since no one will patronise this particular blog so actually there isn't a point in posting now. My sister suggested on shortening my posts, as people will be long bored before reading to the end of them. I may heed her advice, but most likely not. I see even lesser point in posting short posts.

To top it off, my father's wireless is malfunctioning. That means I have to bring my laptop all the way into his study and connect by cable(local area network, LAN). Many people in my class called Xiaotian, Wang and me as computer pros. I disagree. Upon reflection, I think my knowledge on IT and computers is actually very shallow. I do not understand C++(programming lang) how the registry works and do not know how to use Photoshop to its best, unlike Wang. But then, when compared to Yi hua, I once again think I am not too bad either. She is a complete electronic idiot(dian zi bai chi).

I wait in anticipation of the electronic vers. of Harry Potter and the Half-blood prince. My church friend promised to send me via G-mail ! Actually it is illegal to possess or 'share' electronic vers. of Harry Potter, as they are an infringement of copyrights. JK Rowling specifically turned down offers to make electronic copies of her books, as she is well aware of the rampant piracy business going on around the globe. One article stated that a group of chinese translated it into chinese, compiled the whole thing into an eBook within 24 hrs of its release! Several arrests have been made on this issue alone, but apparently people cannot resist the lure of getting something for free(eg. illegal music downloads) or at a much cheaper price. Well, I can't too.

Sian. My father is still at his office. He went there to backup some files and also to bring home a Win2000 PC for me! Yes!! Shiok sia! I can have two comps of my own!! Ah the bliss of technology..

Ok, I realised I have been a little too long-winded and shall end this post here. Till another day.

My Worst Day Ever

This day was supposed to be a happy day. Went to Xiaotian's house. I arrived at Boon Lay station at 9.20am and waited for him and Junneng. Xiaotian came at 9.25am and Junneng came at 9.30am. Soon after, bus 199 was turning in the terminal and Xiaotian exclaimed. We chiong and I accidentally hit a guy. And my TPC dropped on the floor. I picked it up and continued running. We made it to the bus in time and boarded it. The bus ride took about 30min and we chatted about mp3 players and electronics and such.

We got down in NTU and waited for the shuttle bus. 20 cents boarding fee. The bus was lousy and its engine should already be sent for repair. You know, the exhaust pipe was spewing out near-to-black smoke?! And the bus actually went backwards on the hill when the driver let go of the brake and the engine whined so loudly when he stepped on the gas. Got down after 10min of ride Xiaotian's condo looked like an ordinary HDB. It was very old. The lift would shake crazily if you jumped slightly. Xiaotian said that the lift had slipped from the 9th storey to the 6th storey and stopped with a bang. Junneng and I decided not to test the lift anymore after that. When we reached his doorstep - Surprise, Suprise!- he had forgotten to take his key with him and we were locked out. Junneng and I scolded him for 2 mins and he took his bike to cycle round NTU to places where his mother frequents. We sat on the floor and played Need for Speed Underground.

Xiaotian came back witht he key 20min later. Luckily his mother was visiting a neighbour. If not, we would be forced to go straight to Sim Lim Square. We went into his house and ate some cup noodles and snacks. I accidentally spilt some h20 thirstquencher over xiaotian's keyboard,He also had some quite realistic looking guns. One pistol and one shotgun. The only fake thing about them was that they were plastic. I urged Xiaotian to do some work on our project so we spent 3 min on it and completed. Apparently there was a site with both english and chinese translations on the story of Chun Wang Chi Han and we just copied all.

Continued on Need for Speed. I can't because mine was too laggy, so I watched Junneng instead. At about 1.00pm( I can't rememebr clearly) we left Xiaotian's house for Sim Lim. Jjoshua was meeting us there. Junneng went back home. Spent about 45min to travel from Boon Lay to Bugis. Then walked to Sim Lim Square and met up with Joshua.

Walked around asking shops whether they sell RAM chips. Most of them sell cameras and phones. I am already sick of them. Finally found on shop on the second storey that sells Kingston 512mb RAM(Processor 333) at $145! I asked him to try on my com to see if its compatible. He opened and told me that I must buy it no matter what, unless it is not compatible. I agreed but regretted later on. My computer RAM is now 760mb! While normal students who upgraded in school are a mere 512mb! hah! They only bought another 256mb chip, while we bought 512mb chips to add on to our already 256mb RAM. We travelled up another storey and people advertising their shops handed leaflets to me. There were about 8 leaflets and they just stuffed one by one to me. I tried to organise them and lost my hold on my TPC, so I told Joshua to help me hold, but he thought I was talking about the leaflets so it was too late and I DROPPED IT!!

We countinued shopping around. Then we went into a shop which is a Fujitsu products distributer and asked about the RAM. The girl there said they sell 512mb RAMs for $115 and asked us why we needed it. Xiaotian and I explained to her that our coms were laggy and produces slow graphics. She asked us if the startup entries were too many, making startup very slow, and we replied that we have used 'msconfig' to minimise startup lagginess already. She then asked us whether we have defragmented our files. The files in our coms gets more and more jumbled up in time, so it takes the com more time to fit all the pieces of a file together if the bits are very dispersed. I told her that I have defragmentised the files and also reformatted the computer. Her jaw dropped open and she was very astonished. We then told her that we are searching for the lowest price for RAM and thanked her for her help.

On the way to other shops, Xiaotian and I discussed about her. She is about 23 to 26 years old. We thought that she is quite chio and Joshua and us all agreed that she was very helpful, friendly etc. and makes a very good shopgirl. Xiaotian bought a LAN cable-splitter. After browsing through, we still thought that the 'Fujitsu shop with chio bu' sells the cheapest RAM and went back there. We went into the shop and told them we wanted to buy the RAMs. I took Xiaotian's PC and overturned it and unscrewed the RAM panel when the Fujitsu chiobu was inside taking out the RAM chips. When she returned with the chips and a screwdriver, she was impressed as we had brought our own screwdriver and removed the panel ourselves and exclaimed 'Wow self-service!' Joshua and Xiaotian bought their RAMs and we sat down outside the shop and played NFSU. I deleted Ares and my Firewall. Ares was taking up 215mb of space!!! My com became very fast and I was very satisfied. When we were playing half-way the Fujitsu shop chiobu came and passed us a cable-splitter. She said that we had left that in the shop. Wow!! So responsible and honest. We were very impressed and thanked her.

Went to Burger King to eat lunch. When Xiaotian and Joshua was queuing for food, I took out my PC and booted it up. Suddenly, I noticed there was a crack next to the fan-holes. There was even a bit missing! I was heartbroken and shocked! How could this happen to me?!(Simple plan untitled) After calming down, I thought back and remembered that it was when I had too many leaflets and lost hold on my tablet and dropped it. I told Joshua and Xiaotian. Joshua was very apologetic. I told him that it was not his fault, but mine and I am the only one to blame. Sigh....I vowed there and then in font of Xiaotian and Joshua that I will never take more than 3 leaflets to hand at once in my life anymore.

Well, there is no point in crying over spilt milk so I shall not brood over this anymore. Xiaotian also gave me advice not to think about it, or I will become even more depressed. He said that even though I had spilt soft drinks over his keyboard earlier on, he did not get angry or fell sad, so I heeded his advice.

If only I had been more careful with my com......

小孩不笨 -- I Not Stupid

Do you know about the program Chiho's dad installed on his TPC? It is a Korean anti-gaming software which blocks all legitimate games. Pirated games are able to slip through its net because they are not recognised by it(See piracy is such a good thing?). I think Chi Ho's dad is sick.
I found out about this after I helped Chiho install Need for Speed Underground on his TPC. He told me he could not play the game, so I tried and saw that the program was blocking it.

I tried to help him through a few basic steps to some more advanced ones. First, I tried to locate the core files of the Korean program. I could only find some chinese crap folder in the Program Files folder. So I went to the WINDOWS folder. There are all the system files in it. You are recommended not to touch these by Windows. I searched for many minutes and finally found out that a certain 'Logickeeper' was the English name of the Korean program's creator and TKagent was its name. I entered and tried to delete the core files to stop it form functioning, but it was fruitless. The files were encrypted. I could not delete nor edit it. I know because I tried to change one file on Notepad. They were rubbish, in ASCII format. I can't even read it. Then I backspaced all the words and typed some crap and saved, but I could not.

I then tried other alternatives. I pressed Ctrl Alt Dlt to open Task Manager to stop the processes of the program, but unfortunately, the program locked Task Manager. I figured that the program would need to run automatically after each startup of Windows, so I went to Run and typed in 'msconfig'. This would open an interface which allows you to change programs which run sutomatically during startup of Windows. The smart program locked that function too. I was fuming then, so I went to the Net and installed a program called 'Quicklaunch'. It behaves the same way as 'msconfig'. I deleted the entry of TKagent and restarted. TO my surprise, TKagent was up and running after the computer rebooted. I deleted the enty of TKagent again and closed 'Quicklaunch'. I opened again and the TKagent icon has appeared there again! I was like 'omgomgomgomgomg......' and told Chiho that if nothing could stop it, he would have to reformat his whole PC and create a new partition. I told him that I would be glad to help Chiho reformat FOC, but he declined and replied that it will be a time-consuming process.

I discussed this matter with Xiaotian and Junneng. After several fruitless attemps on TKagent, Junneng came up with a brainwave: Download a keylogger and ask Chiho's dad to type in the password to change the settings of it. His idea was ingenious, but I have to say it will work only in the short term. I searched Google(in the process we accidentally found out in his Google history that Chiho watched porn) and downloaded 'Elite Keylogger'. We set it to stealth mode and let it record every keystroke made on Chiho's TPC.

The next day(today) Chiho came back beaming. His dad typed in the code and was recorded! Junneng searched the logs and found the password, but apparently he typed in the wrong one. I think his dad changed the password and Junneng typed in the old one. We sighed. It was not until Lunch break did it happen...

We decided to have another go. Xiaotian opened the log files again and searched for the password. We discovered another password beneath the old password! We typed in the password and PING the software settings came out, free for use to change!! We were too happy and whooped in joy: WOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the class to hear. Yue li called us IT pros. We three stood up and high-fived," The professionals! HAHAHAHAHA"

The creators were smart, but we lowly kids were smarter cracked their "invulnerable" software! They can go die already. Muhahaha. After school went to Chiho house to play Need for Speed Underground and then went back home at 4.45pm. Reached home at 5.15
Going to Xiaotian's house tomorrow and Simlim Square.

till I blog again.

Gossip is a Horrifying Thing

I do not think I would be playing Gunz anymore, not until much later. Xiaotian lent me Need for Speed Underground. Wah, that game is 'shiok'. In the game, there are two options which you can choose: Underground and Quick Race. As the name suggests, Underground is the game itself. In the beginning, you have a small choice of cars to choose from. Their performance levels are very low, but that is the main point. You are supposed to use that car to race. By winning races, you unlock Performance Packs, Visual Packs, many decals and vinyls, and most importantly, cars. Nitrous Oxide is a new feature in the Need for Speed series. The previous versions like NFS 3 Hot pursuit does not have any nitrous Boost or whatsoever. All that you can count on was your car, skill and luck. If you do not know what is nitrous boost, it is an injection of nitrous oxide into you car's fuel system. It will then be combusted with the fuel and increases your speed significantly. After unlocking the packs, you must go to the Customize option. There, you are able to buy visual and performance add-ons, or even trade your car in for another one. Your car can be improved by adding on theses Performance Packs and Visual Packs. Visuals improve how your car looks. For example adding side-skirts, bumpers and spoilers. You may think that these are not important, but these parts adds on to your Reputation Gauge. Your reputation must be at a certain level befor you can participate on further races. Buying all these parts need money, and you get these money buy winning races. So in general, it is actually a vicious cycle. Quick Race is where you can choose any car you like, and use it to race immediately on any map you prefer. You do not use any money in this option.

I hope you people out there can share the same interest in cars.

Now, I must ask you a question. Why on Earth does Art and Literature have to exist on this earth. I say we will be perfectly happy without it, if not happier than before. Literature is a waste of time and space. You do not need literatary skills in the future, nor do you need to understand and comprehend poems in you job, unless you want to be a poet, and let me tell you poets rarely make a fortune or become famous. Even if you do, you will most likely be only after you are dead. And Art is plain dumb. The Ministry of Education should let us choose our own choice of subjects of Humanities after the first-half of Sec One, since Humanities are not important subjects. By forcing us, we will be more prone to stress, mental breakdowns, depression and these can eventually lead to death or a fate worse than that(committing suicide/admitting into asylum) In other words, the MOE is indirectly killing us. For those who do not mind taking Literature/Art, you would be less stressed with two subjects off the schedule would you not?

Anyone in 110, Nanhua Secondary: Those who possess an Adobe Photoshop CD please lend one to me; I want to burn it.

I do not know why my post title is so. It just popped out of my mind when i was thinking of a title for this post. I think it was from a drama serial or book. I forgot which, or maybe both. Anyway, it is more or less true.

Initial D

Went to watch Initial D with Junneng, Joshua, Kenny, Brandon, Xiaotian, Cheryl, April and Yue Li today. The movie was quite nice, especially the races. But the plot itself is simple and predictable. Jay Chou acted as the main character and is a pro in street racing. Xiaotian and I shared the cost of a snack combo. It includes large popcorn and two Pepsi. The popcorn was really big, so big that Junneng gave us half of his share as he can't finish. The ending was quite sudden and not fun at all. After the movie, we checked out the arcade. We did decided not to play there, as we needed a card to play. Then we left the girls behind. They probably were taking neoprints. So lame.

After that, we went to West Mall, except Brandon, who went home. One token costs 50 cents at the arcade there. We played a racing game for several times. I mostly lost, because I did not know how to drift, but got 1st once. Then after Xiaotian and I finished our tokens, we went to Burger King to eat lunch. Juneng, Joshua and Kenny continued to play.

The meal was quite good. I had to buy my sister a pen, so we went to Popular and bought one, while Xiaotian browsed through some books. Then we went to the MRT station to go home. I met Joshua there, and he was taking the same train as me.

I think I had gotten fat. Expect that I gained at least 1kg. Sian. But that is the payment of eatng too much junk food. Sigh..

Achievement

i have made another achievement in blogskin-making today! Spent 2 hrs and made a skin for my sister, joline. To view my work, click Here

What a Sian World it is Out There

Recently, I have adopted a 'sian-sian' attitude. I have no particular goal in mind, indulge in only the television and computer games and do not do any homework. Seriously, the only homework I accomplished was 3 pages of Maths! OMG! Still play Gunbound and surf the Net everyday! But I just can't bear to do homework, or even READ! Sigh..

Went to West Mall to return and borrow books. The library is so boring now. No good books at all. I borrowed some books about UFOs and similar crap. Also borrowed Asterix and Obelix comics! Only that was interesting enough for me to read without falling asleep. Then the library do not even have Artemis Fowl files or Dan Brown books. Sian lah.

After I finished borrowing, I went down to Bread Talk and bought a ham and cheese bun. Then went to B1 to buy chips and a can of Pepsi. Also saw Jocelyn Chew(not sure if spelling correct)with supposedly her mother in Bossini(i think. some clothes shop anyway.)

When I reached home, it was already 6.25pm. Surfed the Net(again!) and showered. Ate dinner afterwards while watching Tong Xing Yuan, followed by Hai Tun Wan and Zero to Hero.

Sigh, why do I feel so sian..? I almost want to be back at school...

Updates

as u can all see, i have updated my blog template. It should look more presentable than the previous one. Best viewed at 1024 x 768 pixels. Similar to the prev. but nicer, dont u think so?

currently "hi-jacking" my neighbours' wireless networks, as mine is down. i dun even noe them. strangers. so long as they are dumb enough not to detect my usage of theirs. but now more and more ppl are getting smarter, by encrypting their networks with a network key. idiotic.

going to a fair now. got free vouchers worth $40 from my sis' tuition teacher. bye.

Cultural Pot.

The weather is very wet today. Lots of wind and rain. Im stuck at home, reduced to scrubbing dirty shoes.
Yesterday went to NanHua Cultural Potpourri. One ticket for $16. A real steal, so as to speak. The show itself was very entertaining and appealing. I liked the first drama and all the musicals(choir, harp ensemble, band etc.). Jason and Kenny both used their Sony Ericssons and recorded the musicals. Very good. They will send to my com thru infrared. If you wanted to know, to view the Sony Ericsson media files on com, use Quicktime player. Windows Media player sux. Apple - Best computer technology in the world. Pity they only have quality but not quantity.

During the interlude, someone managed to snatch Kaiwei's handphone. Jason and I read all his messages which concerns Vanessa. We found out that a number of messages which Vanessa sent to Kaiwei contained the word 'muackx' after each message. Furthermore, some had mroe passion than the others, as in 'muackxxx'! Vanessa sent Kaiwei 6 such messages in total. Not only that, Kaiwei replied several messages with 'muackx' and 'muackxxx' too! Kaiwei sent 5 such messages. OMG! I never knew. It is all right if the girl sent the boy such messages. But the boy replying the girl! Wow. Kaiwei and Vanessa most likely would advance to the 'Pahtuo-ing' stage...

The show ended at 9.28pm. Kaiwei, Kian Ann, Wang Jun, Zhen Yu and I walked to the bus stop and took bus no. 183. Then took MRT home. When i reached home, it was already 10! I took a bath and fell to sleep immediately.

Now I dunno what to do. So boring. If you were wondering how i got online, I disconnected the cable which connects the broadband modem to the Wireless adapter and inserted it into my LAN dock. Instant access to the Net! Then now my sisters complaining to my mother. Idiotic. Must unplug liao. Cos they are using their PC which uses Wireless. so cyaz.

Crap

Hey ppl out there. so sorry i have not blogged for such a long period of time. my house Wireless LAN down la then NHSS LAN also cant connect. idiotic. they should spend more money on a better wireless network. after all, it is we, students, who bought the TPCs. the school sure got commission one.

Im in the home econs lesson now. there are three periods and we finished all the assignments for the semester. The teacher let us do anything we want! So shiok. Going Cultural Potpourri today. 6.30pm-9.30pm. wonder if my $16 was worth. To tell you the truth, I would prefer watching a decent movie, like A series of Unfortunate Events. I read the books and thought they were interesting.

One thing i bu shuang about is the TPC rules. we should be able to use our TPCs for our personal reasons when we are also doing something constructive at the same time. As in, listening to music while doing work, since a positive cancels out a negative. miss wong and her stupid rules. she is full of crap. without her rules, we would be able to use our TPCs during recess and lunch, like other classes. then she counters this by saying "What the other classes do is none of my business." since using ur TPC is a school rule, and she is a school teacher, it should be her business. she and her crap. if we cannot use, the others should not be able to do so too. then yue li is so committed to her. idiotic. think she is so important. and we have the right to give negative remarks about the class. without negative remarks, one would never improve. i think she is too thick-headed to think of these.

posting soon.

Movies

school was boring today. hada math test. i tabulated my marks. i would fail, but only slightly. this is a big improvment, as i had failed my algebra stuff previously. i found out my major mistake. i always ignored the '-' sign in front of a number, as in 3-4(3X2). i would think it is
3-12X8 but it should be 3-12X(-8).

aft school, i went to the libary to ask the Student VC installation ppl whether if they could give me the installation files in their thumbdrives, as i would be reformatting my computer, which would wipe out my whole hard drive and its partitions. the guy misunderstood and helped my install back the whole package, which i had done so yesterday. so i let him go on, and after he had done so, i asked him again clearly. then, he understood, and told me that he could not do so. i suppose that is because the program costs money and their company is probably scared that ppl like me would copy and burn for friends and relatives.

it was raining moderately heavily. i did not have an umbrella, so i walked to the bus-stop. keno accompanied me. watched the day after tomorrow on the bus on my Tablet. ate a delicious lunch of spaghetti and carried on watching. it was nice man, i can tell you. although there were a couple of factual mistakes of the movie.

The first mistake i spotted is this:
when the climatologist and his colleague were walking to downtown DC, they saw several ships stuck in the frozen sea, pointing out at different angles. according to the movie, there had been a huge tidal wave and caused sea levels to rise by hundreds of meters, then the sea was frozen. ships would either get crushed under the pressure of the sudden tidal wave, or sink to the bottom as the rushing water would have forced all the air in the ships out. none would be at the top. and even if the ships managed to reach the top again, they would have been either lying flat, sideways, and not sticking out of the water.

Second mistake:
When the helicopters are flying over Scotland and through the eye of the storm, the temperature is cold enough to freeze fuel in the pipes and tanks. Yet the pilot takes a good five seconds to open the window, and then freezes. Logically, anything cold enough to freeze fuel should not have given him that long. Fuel has a much lower freezing point than the human body, that means humans would freeze long time before fuel does so. Even with the added padding of a coat, a body just could NOT have taken longer than fuel to freeze. The pilot should not even have had time to reach for the window before freezing, let alone to open it and then wait a good five seconds to do so.

but all in all, it was quite a nice movie, althouh it did not make a lot of sense. just sit back watch it without thinking logically and you would find it quite enjoyable.

Canoeing

damn. saturaday, which was yesterday, was the day that the sec 1 boys brigade went canoeing. i went school by MRT, as i had to top-up my card. then reached school at 8.45pm. Shuttle bus came at 9.00am. went to kallang SEA sports club. We paired up and paddled in double canoes. at approximately 1.00pm we had chicken/duck rice as lunch. then canoed again. it was quite fun. we learnt how to accelerate, stop, turn and go side-ways. at about 4.30pm, we stopped and helped to carry the canoes back after the staff there washed them. i had a mild sunburn. lame leh. from 10am-4.30pm. tts about 6hrs, assuming that lunch took 30mins. sianz.

today, i cut my hair, so now i look like a retard. and washed my dirty shoes. kallang SEA soprts club's toilets were the worst i have ever seen in my life.

now have to do the idiotic art. wana drop it. dun see the use of it.

Test Marathon

This week is a total disaster. I had chinese spelling and geography test today. Chinese test for tomorrow. There would be the NAPFA test too after school. The test of fitness, if you will. I think the participation of the teachers below 50 should be compulsory. Many of them are so obese and inactive. I think taking Physical Education and NAPFA tests would do them some good. Especially teachers like Ms Yeo. When she sits down, her whole meaty body would shake and layers of fat are very visable. Her humongous ass spreads out over the chair. You could swear the chair would buckle and collapse. No wonder she is not married.

The good news is that there would be Speech Day on Friday, whatever that is. Sec ones would be let off at 11.00am. Very early. Us Boy Brigaders will be going canoeing at Satuday.

And i got 16.5/25 for Chemistry test! I think im in the Top 10 in the class. Sadly, my Maths still needs improving. At least I found out my main mistakes for the papers.

Miss Wong was idiotic during Literature today. She seems to have a talent for it. The moment she came into class, she let us stand for few minutes before greeting her and sitting down. Then, she gave us 5 seconds to take out our Literature worksheet. She threatened that if we did not do so, she would force those people to copy out the crappy story in the Textbook. That is so unreasonable. So I took mine out and placed them on my lap, and arranged my file's contents. She patrolled around, and soon the usual people were standing. Joshua and some others. Miss Wong came to my table and thought that I did not bring/do and told me to stand, so i showed her mine. The moment she turned away, I was tempted to point the middle finger at her back. But of course I am not so uncivilised. So i curled my fingers into the shape of a gun and fired an imaginary bullet at her head. Immature, I know. But Xiaotian laughed at Miss Wong anyway.
The poor souls who had to copy out the story. Sigh...what more harm could the torturer do more?

After school, Xiaotian and I walked to McDonald's to play Gunbound with our TPCs. the wireless network there is not bad. Xiaotian's PC turned out to refuse to connect to the network, so I was the only one playing. Soon, Yanling and Jemimah came too. Yanling ate a chicken wing meal. Then I lost interest playing as no one from 110 wanted to play with me, so i logged out and played Stickdeath's Escape from Greenville. It is quite violent, with blood, guns and all. I strongly discourage all people below the age of 10 to play the game. As soon as I completed the game, we all boarded the MRT and went back to our respective homes.

Now, I am going to revise chinese and do some last minute training for the NAPFA test. You know, sit-ups, push-ups and all. 110 All the best for tomorrow.
